Welcome Dinner

The Welcome Dinner will be held at Toyokan, a long-established traditional Japanese restaurant founded in 1907.
In this elegant setting, cherished by writers and artists over its nearly 120-year history, guests will enjoy warm hospitality and the finest seasonal flavors.

Induction ceremony and Gala dinner

The Induction Ceremony and Gala Dinner will be held at Hotel Monterey Sendai.
For the Gala Dinner, Executive Chef Hirofumi Hayashi will lead a team of Hotel Monterey culinary professionals gathered from across Japan, presenting guests with a one-night-only gastronomic experience featuring the finest seafood from Sanriku and premium ingredients from Miyagi Prefecture.

On the final day, the Farewell Lunch will be held at Suirin, the Chinese restaurant at Sendai Kokusai Hotel.
Guests are invited to enjoy an authentic Chinese dining experience, crafted with traditional techniques and refined flavors, as we bring our stay in Sendai to a warm and memorable close.

I am delighted to announce that the 2026 Grand Chapitre of Japan will be held in Sendai for the first time in 12 years, hosted by the Tohoku Bailliage.

Under the leadership of Mr. Isawa, Bailli Provincial, and with the warm hospitality of the members of the Tohoku Bailliage, I am confident that this three-day event will be a truly fruitful occasion, offering all participants the opportunity to enjoy the rich flavors of autumn.

On Wednesday, October 14, the Induction Ceremony will be held at Hotel Monterey Sendai, where we will welcome new members and recognize promoted members.

I sincerely look forward to this special opportunity to deepen our fellowship in Sendai together with members from across Japan and overseas.

It is our great pleasure to announce that the 2026 Grand Chapitre will be held in Sendai, the City of Trees, for the first time since 2014, marking its return after 12 years.

The welcome reception on October 13 will take place at Tōyōkan, a distinguished traditional Japanese restaurant founded in 1907. With nearly 120 years of history, it has long been cherished by writers, artists, and cultural figures.

On October 14, the Induction Ceremony for new members and the Promotion Ceremony for promoted members will be held at Hotel Monterey Sendai.

For the Gala Dinner, held with the full support of Hotel Monterey Co., Ltd., Executive Officer and Executive Corporate Chef Hirofumi Hayashi, together with Hotel Monterey staff from across Japan, will present an exceptional culinary experience showcasing the finest seafood from the Sanriku coast and the rich local produce of Miyagi. The menu will embody the spirit of “The Miyagi,” celebrating the region’s unique gastronomic heritage.

On the final day, October 15, the event will conclude with a farewell lunch at Sendai Kokusai Hotel, featuring exquisite Chinese cuisine created by Executive Chef Mitsuru Haneda, who was recognized as one of the “Contemporary Master Craftsmen” in 2020, showcasing his refined skills and exceptional culinary sense.

The 2026 Grand Chapitre is being prepared with great care and dedication as a festival of gastronomy set against the historic backdrop of Sendai, the castle town of the Date Clan one of the most powerful feudal domains of Japan.

We sincerely look forward to welcoming members and guests from Japan and around the world to this memorable celebration.

Special rates are available for stays at Hotel Monterey Sendai from Tuesday, October 13 to Friday, October 16, 2026, for Grand Chapitre attendees.
If you wish to stay at the hotel, please contact the hotel directly through its inquiry page and mention that you are a member of La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.
Reservations should be made by Friday, October 9, 2026.
